Works very well to keep my daughter's attic bedroom cool. The remote is a nice benefit and the air conditioner conveniently vents out of the sliding window, one of the main reasons for purchasing this particular unit. It is fairly quiet and cools this large room.

We added a 3 season sunroom to the house last year. We usually leave the original sliding glass doors open so the room gets heating/cooling from the rest of the house, but find that's not enough to keep the room cozy when it's especially warm or cold outside. So we chose to try this air conditioner to help. That might sound like overkill for the size of the room, but since the windows face south, we thought the extra electricity might come in handy. Sure enough, it looked perfect for the job. It's hot right now, so we're turning on the air conditioner. It does a good job of cooling the air, and it does a decent job of dehumidifying. Since it's summer, we haven't tried the heating function yet, hope it works as well

My cat and I are very happy, our house is much cooler now. I also bought a floor fan and placed it about 2 feet in front of the air conditioner to blow the cold air farther. Everything works like a charm. Compared to having to lift my AC window unit any day of the week, I'd immediately buy another portable AC unit. Thanks for the fast shipping! It arrived 6 days early. Just in time for our next heat wave!

Great for our summer, it also has a dehumidifier and fan, but we don't intend to use those features. The bottom of the unit has a drain, but you can plug it. The unit is said to be self-evaporating, which means there shouldn't be much water to drain.
